MCAN is currently working at the state level on education funding and immigration.
As we await the arrival of a new education funding bill from our elected officials, clergy from MCAN affiliate Brockton Interfaith Community (BIC) led an interfaith march through the halls of the State House as part of the Fund Our Future education funding public action. Youth leadership from affiliate I Have A Future held a rally outside the House Chamber. Affiliate delegations have met with Sen. Jason Lewis, Senate Chair of Education Committee, and Rep. Alice Peisch, Chair of the Joint Committee on Education. To learn more about the change we are seeking, click here.
Our immigration efforts represent the breadth of support that is needed in our nation at this time. From monthly interfaith prayer vigils at an ICE detention center to advocacy for individuals at risk of deportation, MCAN literally stands with the men and women who faithfully and fervently want to continue calling Massachusetts home.
