Dear Senators Markey and Warren,
We, the undersigned individuals from across our Commonwealth, write to you with a clear and urgent message: Do not pass any budget until real compromise is reached—one that protects your constituents, their livelihoods, and their future. Fight for us!
We are pleased that you have stood fast in not supporting this bill from the start and showed courage in standing apart from many of your colleagues. Thank you!
The budget is more than just numbers—it is a moral document that reflects our priorities and values as a nation. In times of economic uncertainty, increasing inequality, and pressing public needs, it is your duty to ensure that this budget meets the moment with fairness, equity, and compassion. Fight for us!
We need you to not only protect the communities you are sworn to serve, but in this moment, also to step into the authority and leadership we know you have. We call on you to:
Stand strong against any budget proposal that sacrifices working families, seniors, children, and marginalized communities;
Refuse to rubber-stamp partisan proposals that gut essential services, healthcare, education, and critical safety nets;
Hold the line for a budget that ensures the well-being of the people—not just the privileged few.
Push your Senate colleagues to act boldly and defend the rights and needs of all Americans and don’t let this budget pass.
A budget that fails to protect the most vulnerable among us is a betrayal of the very oath you swore to uphold. We urge you to demand real compromise and fight for a budget that puts people over politics. Fight for us!
