HELLO BEAUTIFUL HUMANS -

We know that this week many people have mixed feelings and emotions.
The struggle is real.

In William's faith tradition there is often talk about how to protect our peace... "You cannot control what other people do. You can only control how you respond." We have a tendency to try to find someone to blame when things are hard.

As human beings, if we get scared and separate ourselves, we tend to make people our enemies. We invite you to resist that urge. 

Consider what our true enemy is.

It is ideologies and structural systems.
It is the system of white supremacy.
It is the system of patriarchy.
It is the system of capitalism.
And the system of imperial Christianity.
These systems keep us from being free.

These ideologies and systems hurt us every day.

If you want to change the world, then you have to invest time and energy in changing hearts and minds. This practice is grounded in the many traditions in which our network’s faith and values based organizing is rooted.
